How does silence detection work?
It scans the waveform for stretches quieter than an RMS threshold that run longer than about 0.6 seconds, then cuts them out. The cuts are padded so speech onsets aren't clipped — words keep their natural start instead of sounding chopped.
Can I undo a cut?
Yes. Every removed pause becomes a normal edit on the timeline, so you can undo any of them or step back through your whole edit history if a cut went too far.
Does it upload my audio?
No. Detection and cutting run entirely in your browser — your recording never leaves your device.
Can I fine-tune the cuts?
Yes. Detected pauses appear as clips on the timeline, so you can preview each one, adjust its edges, or keep a pause you'd rather leave in for pacing.
