Does trimming reduce video quality?
No. The trimmer uses lossless stream copy — the video and audio data are copied byte-for-byte without re-encoding, so quality is identical to the original and trims finish in seconds even for long videos.
Why does my cut point shift slightly?
Lossless trimming can only cut at keyframes (typically every 1–5 seconds in most videos). The cut snaps to the nearest keyframe before your chosen start point. If you need frame-exact cuts, a re-encode is required — our compressor can do that.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Trimming runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — the video never leaves your device, there's no upload wait, and there's no file size billing. Files up to 256MB are supported in-browser.
What formats are supported?
